I don't know if I got a duff one or not but ,I installed my one up on a 25ft mast , SWR checks out ok on all the bands obviously higher on 80 ,but this thing just doesn't receive very well at all .infact my president hymlaya wb revived 90% better on 20 mtrs.i have not tired transmitting as I'm more into listening even tho I'm fully licensed,but I would of expected this antenna to be better than the hymlaya CB antenna.Not very impressed with it ,maybe it's my location or something but it's deff as a post,I used the same coax feed LMR 400 for the test to be fair.. I have given up on the thing and put back in the box ,maybe I'll revisit it again one day .but for such an expensive antenna it's not great or at least for me.

That looks like a baofeng (sorry now Pofung) UV10 or UV11. one has a keypad the other doesnt Last year i bought one of each and wasnt impressed, nearly poked my eye out with the aerial on the right like the old puxing 666, but worse i found them both deaf. i think they were the first baos with USB C charging? they are of course now superseded by the much better UV13 to UV18

You do the CB mod on a 600$ radio because CB will be shite when shit hits the fan. Dont be a dickster when it does hit the fan on the other bands and you can get a message thru . Not sure anyone gonna be picky about call signs when everything has gone to hell in a handbasket.

I usually use Foobar on Windows to convert audio. How do I know what codec versions is this Soundconverter using? I haven't found any information on their site. In Foobar I just add new codec versions like OPUS 1.5.2

Nice one Jez great job.. I have one too but found it shut down due to an above 1.7 VSWR. I use the xpa 125 on my 705 And it works for me on my end fed vertical wire. But what a great portable option.
